Haha, I was just following the TranceAddict tracklist I obtained and didn't even listen to the whole set before making the .CUE sheet. Otherwise, I would have probably noticed the ID track I missed.

Hmm, I thought there might be another track in there, but it sounded very similar I guess. I'm off to work now, but I'll fix it later tonight. Thanks for pointing it out.

Thanks for the cue sheet,
I find that the transitions can vary alot, he mixed fairly quickly in this set, but normally transitions have the incoming song with no bassline for 128 beats (1 minute) and then the outgoing song will run for another 64 or 128 beats with the lows down (30 sec - 1 min). Armin sometimes opts to skip the first 64 beats of a song for the transitions because they often contain very few elements.

BTW for the record I think the mixing in this set was VERY dodgy... lots of awful off key transitions.

For #14, I decided to pull back the timecode to the point when Armin brings in the beautiful Solarstone guitar, even though the drum track and bassline don't completely change for another 43 seconds. Armin chose the long route for the transition, so I have to make a choice as well. The track is short enough as it is in this mix, so I thought this would be a good compromise.

For those interested, Armin's transitions between tracks are almost always 30 seconds long - in fact, many DJs often use 30 seconds (i.e. Markus Schulz). Thus, it is my decision whether I place a timecode at the beginning of these 30 seconds (if say the bassline from the next track is brought in heavily) or at the end of the 30 seconds (if the transition is annoying, unsmooth or the previous track is too prominent). So, that's why sometimes I have to make a compromise as in the case of #14 today.

By the way, this mix was a special Summer mix for ASOT and included some of the best "summer" tracks over the years, as well as some recent ones. Good stuff.

Enjoy!
